Quality Control in Disaster Preparation & Recovery (QCDR)

Quality Control in Disaster Preparation & Recovery (QCDR)

QCDR is an internet based, quality control tool that streamlines project management activities. QCDR includes reporting functions and allows real-time access to project status. It can be adaptable for use on hand-held computers (i.e. Blackberry). It could have the capability to provide satellite imagery. QCDR is demarked into four independent components based upon the stages of disaster recovery namely preparation, response, relief, and restoration. QCDR is further divided into four components: Introduction & Training Module, Program Manager Module (government), QA/QC Team Module (government or QC contractor) and Contractor Module. QCDR is designed as a “Smart Interface,” the modular system allows access to the necessary module based on the users’ classification and it only gives verified users access to the necessary modules upon login.
