- Short for disk-to-disk, D2D is a type of backup solution that copies data from one hard disk drive to another hard disk drive. This could be from the primary hard disk drive in the computer to another internal or external hard disk drive connected to the same computer.
- D2D or disk-to-disk is also the name of the hidden partition found on Acer computers that is used to restore Acer computers back to their factory settings. See our hidden partition definition for additional information.
